ECC began as a wild idea in the head of a young, idealistic architecture student. That idea was that there was a market for high quality window treatment laminates, backed by superior service, in the eastern Tennessee area. In the 25 years since that time our commitment to excellence in product and service has only intensified.

In 1983, while student in the College of Architecture at the University of Tennessee, I was presented the opportunity to become the local dealer for 3M's Architectural films based on having been involved as an installer for a major 3M dealer previously. We have been involved in the window industry constantly since then, offering advanced solutions to the problems created by excessive solar heat gain, winter heat loss, and the bleaching and fading effects of sunlight on furniture, artwork, carpeting, and other home furnishings. We have built close relationships with many of the prominent glass and window companies, interior designers, architecture firms and major contractors here in eastern Tennessee. Our original decorative products have been produced for other 3M dealers from across the United States.
